FAQs

The ZIM offers all students the opportunity to take part in a mock examination every semester. This is a good opportunity to familiarise yourself with the examination system in advance. You can take the mock exam on your private computer at home. The mock exams take place via Zoom. You will receive organisational information from your lecturers in advance.

It is not necessary to register for the mock exams in advance!

Next dates:

In winter semester 2023/24, the mock exams will take place on 17th January 2024 at 10:00 a.m. / 1:00 p.m. / 4:00 p.m. and will last approx. 30 minutes. A maximum of 500 students can take part on each date. To participate, you must be logged in to Zoom with your ZIM account.

Information regarding the zoom meeting are provided by your lecturers.

There are a total of three e-examination rooms at the Grifflenberg campus. These are located in

    L.11.22 (Building L, Level 11, Room 22)

    T.09.01 (Building T, Level 09, Room 01)

    T.09.20 (building T, level 09, room 20)

The buildings in which the examination rooms are located are marked on the site plan or can be found via the Campus Navi of the University of Wuppertal Campus App.

Your lecturers will let you know when and where you will be taking your e-exam at the university. You will be informed of the building, the room and, if applicable, your seat. On the right-hand side you will find both a location plan and a seating plan, which you can use as a guide or you can use the campus navigation system in the University of Wuppertal campus app.

An example:

Your lecturer has told you that you are writing your e-exam in L.11.22 in seat 61. This means that you are writing your exam in building L on level 11 in room 22. The seat numbers are sorted in ascending order. You will find a map on the wall.

You may also bring something to drink as long as it is in a lockable container.

You can also bring something to eat. However, please ensure that you keep your work area clean during the examination.

You will be informed in advance by your teachers whether you need additional materials such as pens, paper or calculators.

Firstly: don't panic! Everything will be fine!

A member of ZIM staff is present at every exam to help if there are any problems. But even in this case, you don't need to worry because the examination system automatically saves your processing status every minute so that nothing can get lost.
