Validity of ZIM Accounts
The following deadlines for the validity of user accounts of the ZIM apply:

The following applies to student accounts: After the exmatriculation has taken place the accounts will be deactivated without prior warning.
* Students may use their mailbox for 3 months after exmatriculation.
The following applies to all other accounts:
The account holder will be notified via e-mail four weeks before the planned deactivation of the account.
If the account is to remain active beyond the end of the employment relationship or the regular account term, a request for access to ZIM services must be submitted and justified by a manager, supervisor or host person via the online account request form
The application must contain the following information

the reason for the extension,

the desired duration of the extension,

confirmed assumption of costs (if required).

Important notes:

The application may only be submitted by the supervisor (for employees) or the host (for guests).

The application must be renewed annually.

An extension can be applied for after receiving the deactivation notification at the earliest, i.e. four weeks before the end of the employment.

Premature applications cannot be considered.
