FAQs | General Information and the E-Exam@Uni Format
Below you will find the key information about the e-exam process at the University of Wuppertal, both in the form of a calendar overview of a typical e-exam year and in written form, broken down into the areas of ‘Pre-Exam Processing and Exam Execution’ and ‘Post-Exam Processing’, with a special focus on the e-exam@uni format.
Pre-Exam Processing and Exam Execution
You can schedule an e-exam one semester in advance by sending an email to e-pruefungen[at]uni-wuppertal.de. As popular examination days are quickly fully booked, especially in the first two weeks of the semester break, we recommend that you book the required examination rooms and dates as early as possible.
Please provide the following information when making your reservation:
- Title / name of your exam
- Desired date and time
- Important: Exam duration in minutes
- Important: Estimated number of examinees
- Should a catch-up exam take place? If yes: when?
- Names of the assessors and/or the persons responsible for the exam
In general, yes. Please get in touch with us to work out a customised solution together.
Just like your examinees, please arrive at the e-exam room(s) early – at least 15 minutes before the start of your slot – to clarify the final organisational details with the member of the e-exam team present (e. g. dealing with toilet breaks, possibility of an earlier submission, etc.). Due to the calculated buffer times, it is usually possible for your students to be let in early so that the exam can start as planned at the beginning of your slot.
Example: Exam duration 90 minutes, 10.00 a.m. – 12.00 p.m.
No separate login credentials are required for either the @uni or @home format. The examinees log in to the exam system at the start of the exam using their first name, surname and matriculation number.
For each e-exam, a member of the e-exam team will be present to explain the procedure and ensure that all students are properly guided and safely begin the exam.
Identity verification using personal ID with photograph and student ID card are carried out by you or your invigilating staff.
It is up to you whether to conduct the identity verification directly upon entry or later during the exam. However, please keep in mind that the exam slots are tightly scheduled, and the exam must start on time.
For every e-exam@uni, a member of the e-exam team will be on-site to provide direct support in case of any technical issues.
Post-Exam Processing
Immediately after the successful completion of your e-exam, the exam results are available to you as a basis for assessment. There are no waiting times.
The exam can be assessed by one or more examiners, if they have the necessary permissions, within the LPLUS exam system using the post-assessment interface. The resulting grades can then be exported from the exam system and, if needed, sent to the Central Examinations Office (ZPA).
