The Internet-Café in it's original form was supposed to provide access to the www and it's services for every student. Since then the "surfing machines" developed into full-fledged computer workstations.
The ZIM strives to create modern workstations with the latest requirements for ergonomics, safety and of course economics. Thereby working with those computers has become a central tool for teaching and research. For this we aim to provide comprehensive software supplies. The focus of the Internet Café computers lies on programming, text processing and typesetting, academic applications and of course internet and e-mail.
The Internet-Café is available for all students and staff of the BUW, who set up a ZIM account.
