New Mail-Server

New mail server

 

At Friday, 9th, April 2004 (Holy Friday) HRZ has started services of its new mail server. In order to perform the migration of the existing 8800 mail accounts to the new server structure without losses, the two mail servers have

been out of function for approximately 4 to 6 hours.

 

Local mail servers in the Uni departments were not concerned by the migration. During the phase of migration incoming mails have been buffered

and have not been lost.

 

Users are not asked to apply any changes to their eMail configuration.

 

If you have received mail with the topic "!!! MAILBOX IS FULL !!!": Please, tidy your Inbox, and if necessary, apply for an increased amount of storage at the Dispatch Office.
